I'm a South Asian picture book illustrator, painter and printmaker, currently based in New York City. I'm pursuing a BFA in Illustration at the School of Visual Arts. 

 

I love making books and illustrating stories. My work ranges from picture books for little kids to illustrations about more serious young adult topics.

I am strongly influenced by the history, language and culture of Bengal, where I come from. Through my work I seek to celebrate my culture and share stories about the wonderful Bengali community that I grew up with! Many of my illustrations also focus on nature and wildlife and I often use my art to spread environmental awareness.

I am a traditional artist - a painter and a printmaker. I primarily work with watercolor, gouache, colored pencils, linocut and silkscreen. But I am always experimenting with new mediums!
